An uncomprehensive profile of Nina Mehta
Nina Mehta is a connected professional skilled in interaction, graphic and news design. Her professional philosphy evolves but is always focused on people and figuring them out (user-research!). She is a Human-Computer Interaction design (HCId) Master's student at Indiana University in Bloomington. In Informatics she is an elected student representative as Research and Professional Chair for the Graduate Informatics Student Association (GISA).

She works in the Office for Women's Affairs on campus but was a full-time designer and journalist at indy.com and The Indianapolis Star. While working at The Star, Nina wrote, reported and helped develop their social media voice. Nina spent six weeks at The Poynter Institute on a full scholarship to learn collaborative working interactive storytelling and ethics in practice.

Nina is from Chicago and enjoys visiting her brother in San Francisco and extended family in Rajasthan, India. She interned in London, backpacked much of Europe and parts of the Americas. Nina is budgeting to visit her friends in Lima, Kampala and Beijing.

Nina studied classical music for 10 years, explored drama and improv theater, learned some martial arts and worked in Indiana's largest and oldest winery. She is a devout backpacker, Chipotle fantatic and loves techno. She also really believes in playtime!

Nina does interaction, user-centered, experience, graphic and web design. She's an active concert-goer and finds meditation in cooking up new recipes.
